Of the Order of Wizards, Gandalf the Grey is second only to Saruman the White in power. It is Gandalf whose task it is to guide the Free Peoples of Middle-Earth in their fight against the growing might of a re-surfaced Dark Lord of Mordor. Using his influence and long friendships with the many peoples of the west, Gandalf lays plans to stand against Sauron. Until his fall in Moria at the hands of the fearsome Balrog of Morgoth, Gandalf the Grey led the Fellowship of the Ring from Rivendell. He later returned to Middle-Earth reborn as Gandalf the White, freeing Theoden King of Rohan from Saruman's debilitating leechcraft. Gandalf is a power to be reckoned with, benevolent and wise. Whether with sword or spell he is a great asset to any army of the Free Peoples.

WargearEdit

Gandalf carries his staff (two-handed weapon), the sword Glamdring (hand weapon) and the ring Narya. At an additional cost he may also travel on horseback, point values increasing as follows:

Horse..................................................................................10 Points Shadowfax..............................................................................15 Points

ShadowfaxEdit

The great horse Shadowfax may only be ridden by Gandalf. He follows the rules for horses except his movement is 12"/28cm.

Special RulesEdit

Staff of PowerEdit

Gandalf's Staff is not only a symbol of his authority but a potent talisman as well. To represent his Staff's inner power he can expend 1 pt of Will each turn without depleting his own Will store.

NaryaEdit

Thanks to the power of Narya (one of the three Elven Rings of Power), Gandalf can re-roll his dice when using Fate points.

GlamdringEdit

Glamdring is a magical sword forged by Elves; found in the Troll cave along with Sting (Bilbo Baggins' short sword, later given to Frodo Baggins in Rivendell) during The Hobbit- represented in The Lord of the Rings as Bilbo's ongoing tale There and Back Again. When Gandalf fights with Glamdring (rather than his staff), he adds +1 to his strength characteristic, giving him a strength value of 5.

Magical PowersEdit

NoteEdit

Your Force can only include one Gandalf either Gandalf the Grey or Gandalf the White.
